Scarlett Mix Control is the control software that is used to control the output routing and settings for the Scarlett interface range. Just bought a little presonus USB interface just so I can actually get some work done. Saffire MixControl is the control software that is used to control the output routing and settings for the Saffire interface range. If you install this, then it should work fine. Well it’s not working with either Studio One or with Dorico Pro 4. You can try downloading version Saffire Mix Control 3.8b1 for Windows, which has the same firmware version as 3.9. So then i uninstalled mixcontrol and the driver that came with it, reinstalled the NEW drivers and mix control, and i was able to finally reset my factory settings and everything is fine now. Learning and Getting Started with Saffire Pro40 Mix Control After doing a computer reboot, you can access the mix control in Windows by going to Start > All Programs > Focusrite > Saffire MixControl, then click the Mix Control launcher. but now mixcontrol didn’t recognize my interface. this installed mixcontrol on my computer, and now windows actually recognized it as a program. Let’s start by focussing on a pair of channels in the mix window: The first thing that you need to do is to select an input for the channel. With the PRO 24 and PRO 24 DSP, this number is halved. In other words it sounds good enough to where I went back to Focusrite. When used with the PRO 40 and the Liquid Saffire 56 (pictured above), Saffire MixControl contains up to 16 mono or 8 stereo mixes. So i convinced the guy in the chat to send me an old driver since my scarlett was working fine on old drivers, and i got mixcontrol 1.8. Ive set off to purchase the Octopre MKII because of how great this interface sounds. hence why i couldn’t restore factory default settings. windows and mixcontrol were not cooperating, and my 18i20 was caught in the middle of their nonsense. i would go to uninstall the program, windows would take me to “programs and features” and it wouldn’t even be listed. I contacted focusrite support and through much time chatting and discussing the problem, it came to my attention that windows didn’t even recognize scarlett mixcontrol as an installed app.
